Guided by the motto of creating meaningful impact and fostering continuous improvement, the forthcoming step involves the implementation of these toolkits in the pilot schools to translate the initiative into tangible classroom practice. Accordingly, IHK hosted the STEAM Toolkit Handover and Orientation Program at the pilot schools: AKNS and SHSS on August 1st and August 8th, 2025, respectively. During the program, the booklets and teacher’s manual, along with the Open STEAM Box, were officially handed over to the schools. The Open STEAM box includes the practical tools for facilitating meaningful STEAM experiences.
A thorough STEAM Orientation Session introduced attendees from both schools to the Toolkit and Teacher Handbook. The IHK team also presented how to effectively and sustainably integrate the STEAM toolkit in the classroom.
The teachers who collaborated with the development of the STEAM toolkits and attended the Training sessions were given certificates of participation to honour their hard work, dedication and commitment.
Principal of AKNS, Mr. Shailesh Pradhan, praised the inclusion of the school curriculum in the STEAM Toolkit. He mentioned that it will enhance the classroom learning environment and promote STEAM-based teaching. He emphasised the school’s active collaboration with IHK, wherein teachers understood interdisciplinary methods and learned applicable ways to integrate STEAM teaching into classrooms using the toolkit.
